Valentini
Born in Nuremberg, Roberta Valentini completed her musical theatre training at the August Everding Theatre Academy in Munich, where she received her diploma.
Her career began in 2006 alternating in the roles of Elisabeth and Countess Esterházy in the Swiss premiere of Elisabeth at the Thunerseespiele. Major roles followed in productions including Fiddler on the Roof (Chava) in Braunschweig, Jekyll & Hyde (Lucy), Chess (Florence Vassy), Company (April), The Witches of Eastwick (Sukie) and Das Molekül (Rosalind Franklin, Claire Fraser) in Bielefeld, as well as The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Edwin Drood) in Münster.
In 2009, she took on the title role in the European premiere of Marie Antoinette in Bremen while also appearing as Elphaba in Wicked. In 2011, she originated the role of Ulla in the world premiere of Kein Pardon in Düsseldorf and created the role of Henriette in the world premiere of Casanova in Dessau.
In 2014, she returned to Elisabeth, this time starring in the title role in a touring production which was also performed in Shanghai, China. During the summer festivals in Tecklenburg in 2016 and 2017, Roberta played Morgana in Artus, Fiona in Shrek and Beatrice in Rebecca.
She has also appeared as Marian in The Bridges of Madison County in Chemnitz, Berit in the world premiere of Luna in Vienna and Sybilla Sr. in Herz aus Gold in Augsburg. In Stuttgart and Hamburg, she played Molly in Ghost; in Mannheim, Evita; and in Munich, Mina in Dracula. In 2022 and 2023, her dream came true when she toured Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England and Italy as a soloist with Disney in Concert. Most recently, Roberta appeared in the world premiere of Hello! Again in Leipzig and in the title role of Elisabeth on tour throughout Germany. She is a soloist in numerous musical theatre concerts and has been the singer of the Italian band Pino Barone for 20 years.
